The March selection includes such topics as: “Vaccination”, “Quarantine”, “Sternenko case”.
Please note that two of the three popular topics of the month can be considered informational branches (subtopics) to the more global topic “Coronavirus”, which continues to generate the most resonant information drives, not only for Ukrainian media.
Such a thematic focus in the media is obvious from the point of view of the current situation with the coronavirus. Probably, the “post-trial” topic will not completely exhaust itself in the media even in the coming months.Number of publications and potential coverageAccording to the results of the study, the most popular topic in March is the topic “Vaccination” with the number of publications - 34,924 and the potential coverage - 31 688 843. The topic “Quarantine” received — 20,770 mentions and potential coverage — 20,936,545.
Compared to the “Covid” topics, the political topic “Sternenko Affair” received much less. The number of publications in the media is 3,633 and the potential coverage is 4,479,818. Such a quantitative gap is due to the fact that from the point of view of mass audience curiosity, “Covid” topics arouse more lively interest and are more versatile compared to a political topic, which is more aimed at point curiosity on the part of the media, which is more likely to exhaust itself.

In terms of the number of repeated news releases, the topic “Quarantine” is the leader. All three quarantine-themed news stories received more repeats than the topic “Vaccination” and “Sternenko case”.
